How to raise bees for honey
Damned if I know. I’m about to begin the third season and I’m 0/4 in keeping my bees alive. HOWEVER. the last living colony mysteriously absconded (?) in late November, and I took their honey. I got maybe 8 pints altogether, all of it a very dark amber and richly flavored.

Most of it went into a batch of mead we bottled today. Yay!
And because I often put the cart–you know

Carniolans again in 2022. I don’t know exactly when to quit but it’s not going to be this year. (The mead tasted very good: just the right amount of sweetness but not at all like dessert wine.)
