Malaise, with Rhyme
Yes, still here. Long sigh.
In these sorry times when a Tokyoite can’t get a beef bowl, I have been:
reading news of politics
learning to knit
still reading Katharine Graham’s memoir
making decorating decisions on my dining room – a project that’s gaining momentum like an avalanche–walls, drywall, spackle, paint store, wallpaper, chair rails, lighting, floor refinish, rugs, furniture, color schemes, ad infinitum.
trying not to think about Timberlake & Jackson (but why does the press now term it the Jackson breast-baring incident–excuse me, there was a second party involved–the one doing the clothing ripping, in fact)
waiting for spring.
Prevailing mood: vague malaise, with rhyme.
Following the primaries. Enjoyed this essay.
I too will be sorry to see Dean leave, so I’m glad he’s reconsidered as of now.
Pick your presidential candidate. I had to be a Sharpton gal…
